March 6, 12:39 a.m.- employees at business in 2100 block of West Sixth Street reported a large pickup ran into and damaged mail box at that address and then left area. Police took report for hit and run accident.
March 8, 1:45 p.m.- two-vehicle, non-injury accident in 1600 block of East 10th Street. Insurance information exchanged. No report.

Washington State Patrol
March 7, 1:20 p.m.- one-vehicle, injury accident on SR 141 at Milepost 19.2 in Trout Lake. Unit involved was 1999 Dodge Neon operated by Chelsea E. Webberley, 18, Trout Lake. Accident report said she was northbound when she went to sleep. The vehicle went onto the northbound shoulder, the driver overcorrected and it rolled, coming to rest on its top on the southbound shoulder. She had head, neck and back injuries and was taken to Skyline hospital.

Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue
March 5, 9:51 a.m.- responded to a burn complaint concerning an outside rubbish fire in 2300 block of West 13th St. Found attended fire with occupants burning legal materials and with permit. No problem.
March 5, 6:17 p.m.- responded to burn complaint in 2400 block of West Second. Found pile of tires burning. Cut gate to gain access. Cause of fire unknown, no obvious heat source in area of fire.
In addition, MCF&R crews had five medical ambulance calls Friday, five Saturday, 13 Sunday and one Monday morning, none of them involving motor vehicle accidents

The Dalles City
Two males, a 22-year-old from Hood River and a 26-year-old from White Salmon, were arrested at Kmart Sunday and are accused of second-degree theft, a misdemeanor. The arrests came after an employee reported two men had been apprehended for shoplifting.
An employee at the Safeway gas station reported Sunday that a female driving a blue Dodge had left without paying for a gasoline. The report said she had tried to use a credit card that was not good and told employees she was going to get some cash. She did not return and employees called police, who took a report for theft of services.
An employee at a downtown business reported he had found two bicycles in the alley behind the 500 block of East Second Street. The bikes were taken to the police station and impounded.
James Patrick Lennon, 63, 3817 W. 10th St., Space 16-B, was arrested at his residence Sunday on a fugitive warrant from Washington.
City police made four traffic stops Saturday that ended with citations being issued and vehicles being impounded. A female stopped in the 3000 block of West 10th Street was cited for driving while suspended, a male stopped at West Ninth and Lincoln was cited for driving while suspended, a male stopped at West 10th and Blakely was cited for driving while suspended and a female stopped at East 11th and Laughlin was cited for driving while suspended.
An employee at the Safeway gas station reported Saturday afternoon that the driver of a 1990’s GMC pickup left without paying for $20 worth of gasoline. Police took a report for third-degree theft.
City police responded to a report of a fight in the 200 block of East Second Street Sunday morning. Two males had been involved. Police made contact with the victim who did not want to press charges. No report.

A male stopped at East 10th and Shearer was cited for no insurance, a female stopped in the 1300 block of West Sixth was cited for driving while suspended, a female stopped in the 300 block of Laughlin street was cited for no insurance and a female stopped at West 10th and Walnut was cited for driving while suspended and no insurance.
Douglas Floyd Trent, 55, 2225 E. Ninth St., was arrested at his residence Friday on a warrant for probation violation. The original charge was second-degree theft.
An employee at Safeway reported Friday afternoon that a 13-year-old male had been apprehended for shoplifting. He was cited for third-degree theft and released to his mother.
A resident in the 600 block of Sherman Drive reported someone was using her son’s Social Security number in Texas. Police took a report for identity theft.
Christine Marie Borton, 25, 724 E. 16th St., was arrested in the 1500 block of West 10th Street Saturday morning and is accused of driving while under the influence of intoxicants.
Wasco County Sheriff
The sheriff’s search and rescue team was called out Saturday afternoon to assist an injured kayaker near the Oasis campground on the Deschutes River. The only access to the site where he was located was by railroad tracks. An ambulance crew was able to get to him and he was taken to hospital in The Dalles by ambulance. The SAR team was told to stand down.
Deputies responded to a report of a fight in the 2400 block of West 10th Street Saturday night. Several people were involved but no one was contacted. No report.
Sherman County Jail
A 50-year-old man from Goldendale was arrested at a motel in Biggs Junction Sunday morning and is accused of second-degree theft, a misdemeanor.
Regional Jail
Lavoy Carl Blackledge, 49, Portland, was processed at the regional jail Friday on a court commitment order. He is accused of reckless driving.
Brooks Marie Uhalde, 19, 2700 W. Seventh St., Apt. 52, was processed at the regional jail Friday and is accused of unlawful possession of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school.
Tachiquin Efren Zuniga, 48, Boardman, was processed at the regional jail Saturday and is accused of two counts of probation violation. The original charges are harassment and contempt of court.
Correction
The current resident at 3640 W. 13th St., Apartment D-8, says that Timothy Steven Riddle, 52, does not live at that address. That is the address that was listed in Circuit Court proceedings that was published March 4.
